Lotus bowl

The idea is the Lotus is growing out. The lotus is hand painted, the shape of the bowl is representation of the lotus, opens out like a petal. It is thrown thinly with a sturdy base.

I am really glad I took a photo when I was still working on it before bisque, and the transformation is just amazing.  

Potier display

Went to Potier today to take the photos, Judith is just lovely. I saw my work as soon as I walk in, it is at the front of the big cherry wood table, such a beautiful setting, it is a stunning shop. 

You can see my two different type of koi bowls at the front right corner and the black sphere vase standing on the small stool in the middle of the table.

And here are my chawan. It is a great feeling to see it in shop and Juidth told that the reaction were great on intragram and facebook of Potier, made me even happier.

Finally, got in Potier. http://www.potier.com.au/ One of the most beautiful ceramic store in Melbourne. Here is the collection that is on display. I will come back with a photo of the display on location next week, so excited!
